Everyday the consumers are getting bombarded with media coverage about the housing market. The latest that we have seen has been that homebuyers can not get a loan. From a local perspective, this is not necessarily the case. This week alone, we have talked to 2 different local lenders that told us that they are still making home loans. It is our understanding that if a buyer has a credit score of 650 and above; you can get a loan to buy a house. The Kansas City real estate market has not had the dramatic drop that other areas of the country have seen. Yes it is slower; but don’t get caught up in the national news.
